Project updates
Project details
We are upgrading several playgrounds across the Inner West as part of an annual renewal and upgrade program. We intend to renew ageing park equipment and improve play experiences, ensuring that the playgrounds meet your needs.
Watch a short presentation about the project where we discuss key considerations for the upgrades, what you can influence, as well as opportunities and considerations for each playground.

This financial year, we are spending $996k to upgrade seven playgrounds across three Council wards. The proposed playgrounds are:
- King George Park, Rozelle
- Mort Bay Park, Birchgrove
- Lion St Playground, Croydon
- Rose St Playground, Ashfield
- John Paton Reserve, Summer Hill
- Rowe Playground, Dulwich Hill
- Kendrick Park, Tempe
The King George Park playground upgrade will be guided by the King George Park Plan of Management, which has recently opened for community consultation. The Plan of Management is currently under review and waiting for Council adoption.
