Now sited at the centre of the park, the play space will be the social heart of the park. Offering a range of play opportunities set within planted spaces and centred around a shaded outward facing gathering place for parents, carers and kids alike, there will be challenges, inspiration and space to chat for all ages here.

From hand sculpted log balance beams to much-loved swing sets or climbing nets in which children can ‘roost’, the focus of the park will be on interaction with nature and with each other.

    The Corner Space

Located at the corner of May and Council Street will be a small corner space forming an entry to the park and suited to everyone from adjoining residents catching up for a chat to parents getting a cup of coffee at the café while keeping an eye on their toddlers.

Shaped within a low embankment  to lend some protection from the roads, the corner will provide shaded seating and a small space within which young children can play whilst parents and carers chat.
