In 2020 Council adopted the Leichardt Park Aquatic Centre Master Plan which guides the upgrades and improvements to this well-loved community asset for the next 10 years. The upgrades have been separated into three stages. Council has developed a draft concept plan for stage one upgrade.

The upgrade is focused on the improvements to the children’s pool and surrounds and it includes:

• Zero depth splash pad and toys
• BBQ area
• Outdoor seating
• Modified children’s pool, reduced to 900 mm depth.
• New shade structures
• Visually enhanced concrete finishing
• New glass fencing
• New timber batten screen fencing
