Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. We heard from 40 people and overall the responses indicate strong support of the draft Zero Waste Strategy priorities and targets. Those who indicated lower levels of support were concerned about ambitious targets without legislation, the wider social appetite, or satisfaction with existing services.

Additional strategic directions were released by the NSW Government in June 2021. This has resulted in further updates to the document, including litter reduction targets. Our existing targets exceed State and Federal targets in other areas such as, organics and waste avoidance.
