Telling your stories - Inner West COVID-19

Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Linkedin Email this link

Council's Library and History Services is collating a COVID-19 community archive of stories, anecdotes, artworks and images from Inner West citizens.

Contemporary accounts by everyday people will help future historians make sense of this major life event.

The archive will act as a 'snapshot' of the Inner West in lockdown - what it was like, how our world changed and how people were affected.

Contributions closed on 31 May 2020. We are currently collating the contributions ready for judging. The 40 best contributions will win a $50 Visa debit card. See the Terms and Conditions for details.

    Stop and stare

    by Coco, 4 months ago

I was supposed to travel to meet my beautiful nephew back home in Colombia. Soon I will, I'll just have to wait. Everytime I miss him and my family I stop and see other things grow at home here and imagine how he's growing too.

    Anzac Day 2020

    by EFenwick, 4 months ago

    By Erica Fenwick

I made a Poppy wreath for our Anzac Day dawn service on our porch. The poppy's are made from egg cartons and the foliage was picked from the trees in our back garden. Fixed to a wreath made from a cardboard box.
