What's happening?

We are upgrading Simpson Park, St Peters alongside WestConnex commissioned artist Mike Hewson.

Council is funding and managing the following elements:

• Picnic facilities
• Playground paths
• Cricket nets.

At the same time artist Mike Hewson is delivering the St Peters Fences Playground, under the WestConnex New M5 public art program 'Canal to Creek: A cultural Landscape.'

What happens next?

Your feedback will be collated and incorporated into the final park upgrade design where possible. Construction is expected to start in the first half of 2020.

The feedback will also be used to inform a long term plan for Simpson Park along with ideas gathered through a community survey in 2014. The draft Plan of Management for Pocket and Neighbourhood parks (including Simpson) will be on exhibition for public comment later this year. Council will notify the community when the public exhibition is open.
