Project details

We are developing a plan of management for pocket and neighbourhood parks in the Inner West Council area. We would like you to help us plan the future use of those valuable community resources.

Overview

We recognise the importance of quality open space in making high density urban areas attractive and liveable. The Inner West Council area has an established and well distributed network of neighbourhood and pocket parks. The ability of Council to expand open space is limited by land supply and budget constraints. Council, therefore focuses its investment on improving the existing network of open spaces.

This generic plan of management sets out key principles and priorities to deliver high quality parks which are welcoming, accessible and enjoyable spaces for community use.

Have your say

Tell us what you like about the pocket parks and neighbourhood parks in your area and where you would like to see improvements.

We have split the parks up by ward to make it easier for you to give us feedback. Please go to the ward map for your area and drop a pin to let us know what you love about it or drop a pin and let us know what you think could improve.

As part of your feedback, we will ask you to create a screen name and provide your email. Please note that your comment, survey responses and screen name can be viewed by other users however your email will remain private.

The last day to provide feedback was Thursday 29 August 2019

What happens next?

Your feedback will be used to develop the draft Plan of Management. Everyone who gave feedback will be notified when the draft plan is placed on public exhibition for final community comment. Following the public exhibition the plan will be finalised for decision by the elected Council.
