Draft Cycling Strategy

Earlier this year you have given us feedback about how we can make cycling easier in the Inner West. This feedback along with input from Council staff, the Bicycle Working Group and other stakeholders including other councils and Transport for NSW has informed the draft Inner West Cycling Strategy.

What's in the Strategy?

The Strategy outlines six cycling priorities

Have your say

The public exhibition gives the community an opportunity to comment on work so far and further shape the draft Strategy before it is reported to council for adoption.

Previous engagement

Cities and towns with high levels of bicycle riding enjoy a range of social, environmental and economic benefits. Bike riding is proven to provide significant health benefits, reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality and helps to create more vibrant and inclusive communities. Inner West Council wants our community to reap these benefits by making the Inner West cycle friendly for everyone.

We would like you to tell us what would make it safer for you to get on your bike. Your feedback and other information will be used to develop Inner West Cycling Strategy and Action Plan.

For background information check out the FAQs.
