About the project
Council is planning further improvements in Croydon Road near Church Street, Croydon. The proposed works will improve pedestrian and motorist safety and address residents’ concerns about speeding and driver behaviour. Please note that these works are in addition to the intersection improvement works at Church St at Croydon Rd which were approved by Council in February 2019.

How did Council reach this recommendation? The proposal is based on Council’s decision at 26 February 2019 meeting to construct pedestrian safety measures in Croydon Road at its intersection with Church Street – making an existing crossing point safer. |

What happens next?
A report, together with the community’s comments and this proposal, will be considered by Council’s Local Traffic Committee (LTC) at its meeting on 1 July 2019. The Committee will make recommendations for Council to consider at the July Council meeting.
Council will notify everyone who provided comments of the final decision.
The LTC meeting agenda will be available to view on Council’s website in the week before the meeting. Members of the public may register to speak at this meeting.
When is the work planned?
These works together with the proposed intersection improvements works in Church Street are expected to be build in the 2019/20 financial year. Residents will be further notified before any work commence.
