What happens next?
Council will review all comments and consider whether to adopt the proposal and if possible, a formal set of criteria for assessing financial hardship, at a meeting in October 2021.
If the proposal and the criteria are both adopted, we will open an application process so ratepayers can apply for the money.
If you have indicated your intention to apply and provided your property number we will also contact you with the specifics of the application process should the proposal go ahead.
Everyone who has commented and/or registered will receive notification as to when the proposal goes to Council, whether Council adopted the proposal or not, and when the application process has opened.
