Since we last updated you with the Bell Reserve concept design, we have exciting news about the addition of a rain garden to the designs. The rain garden will naturally filter storm water from the park using soil, plants and microbes.

This exciting addition requires extra engineering designs which means that our new anticipated construction start will be late October, early November.

We have also made updates to the designs since March in the original 'community garden' part of the garden. We will instead be planting a section with perennial food plants for park visitors to harvest. If there is interest to accommodate a future community garden, this can be done under the Community Gardens policy.

The Bell Reserve detailed designs are very detailed but check them out if you would like to see exactly what will be built and landscaped. Please note that the rain garden engineering is not yet included in the detailed designs.
