Stanmore playgrounds upgrades

We are renewing the playgrounds and welcome your input so that it reflects the community’s diverse needs. Council has allocated $70,000 to these improvements.

Upgrades can include:

  • Play equipment
  • Soft fall – mulch or rubber
  • New seating
  • Bubbler
  • New plants.

Last day to provide feedback is Monday, 25 November 2019.


What happens next?

Everyone who gave feedback will be notified when the Engagement Outcomes report is published and when the design goes to Council for a decision.

    We are exploring options for both parks based on your feedback and other information.

    It is Council's intention to remove the existing park lighting as part of the upgrade, pending approval from Ausgrid. Council is no longer maintaining park lighting which does not light pedestrian pathways.

    Some participants commented about dogs in the parks. Please keep in mind Bain Playground is a dog free area and Crammond Park is an on-leash park. Avoid a fine by reviewing our parks with dog off leash areas.
