Shade Sails Program 2018

As part of the Shade Sails Program 2018, Council is spending $500,000 to install shade sails in parks across the 5 Council wards. View the map of park locations.

The shade sails will provide shade over playgrounds and fitness facilities to promote a healthier lifestyle and safe play environment. Proposed sites are:


BALMAIN WARD (4)
  • Campbell Street Park
  • College Street Park
  • O'Connor Reserve
  • King George Park Fitness Station
LEICHHARDT WARD (5)
  • Marr Reserve
  • Nestor Park
  • Pine Square Park
  • Douglas Grant Park
  • Gray Street Park

STANMORE WARD (3)
  • JF Laxton Reserve,
  • Hudson Park

ASHFIELD WARD (2)
