What is happening?


At its meeting on Tuesday 17 March 2026, Council decided that Punch Park sport courts will become multi-purpose courts.


Inner West Council is planning changes to the existing sports courts at Punch Park and we would like your feedback. Council has endorsed a proposal to add pickleball marking to both courts, introducing a broader mix of uses.

The changes will include line markings for four pickleball courts as shown below.



Also proposed is an increase in the availability of the courts to the for community use shown below.

When will the new community hours of use begin?

The new hours of use will begin in late September 2026, when the current commercial lease ends.
