Project details

Weekley Park is a valued local open space that provides opportunities for recreation, play and relaxation for the community.

We are developing a 10-year Plan of Management and Master Plan for the park and want to hear your feedback to help inform the plan. We want to hear what you love about the park, how you use it, and what opportunities you see for improving the space for generations to come.

We are also proposing a public toilet for the park as part of the Plan of Management, the two proposed locations are show below you have the opportunity to vote for your preferred location.

Location A - near Percival Road shown as pink colour pin on the map below.

Location B - near Clarendon Road shown as orange colour pin on the map below.

A Plan of Management is a useful tool to provide strategic planning and governance for the management and use of land. The plans set out objectives and performance targets for community land and promote active land management.

Councils are required to develop plans of management under Local Government Act 1993.

A Plan of Management (PoM) is a strategic document that provides a framework for the future use, development and maintenance of public land. While a PoM is a requirement for all community land owned by Council, it also provides an opportunity to engage with the community to develop a shared vision and set of values for the space. The Plan of Management helps ensure the park continues to meet the needs of the community while establishing how the land may be used, managed and improved in the future.
