Project details
Council has heard from residents about safety concerns on Percy Street between Albion Street and Evans Street. The street is narrow, and cars often need to reverse to let others pass. Making the street one-way could help fix this problem.
What have we done so far?
We collected and reviewed traffic data on Percy Street. On average, 54 cars travel north and 131 cars travel south each day. These numbers show that changing the street to one-way will have little impact on nearby streets.
What is being proposed?
How do we determine if this change will occur?
For this proposal to go to Council’s Local Transport Forum, we need:
- Responses from at least 20% of properties on Percy Street.
- At least 60% of those responses must support the change.
Only one response per property will be accepted.
