New options for the intersection

Concurrent with planning for the new signals, Council is also developing the GreenWay Missing Links Master Plan. Read more details here. This includes a walking and cycling route along Weston Street.

The development of the Master Plan provided Council with an opportunity to consider new options for the intersection (beyond those endorsed in 2017) which will best meet the needs of residents and are compatible with the GreenWay.

Council undertook traffic counts and modelling in February, (download the report here) and developed three options. Each have different impacts on traffic, parking, access and safety. Specific advantages and disadvantages are shown on each of the plans.
