At its meeting on 12 November 2024, Council decided to consult the Balmain community about expanding Jazz in the Park and relocating the festival to Darling Street.
What are we proposing?
The new festival is proposed to be a Sunday festival between 11am-5pm in the latter part of the year.
The festival could include musical performances across a variety of genres, creative stalls, children’s workshops, local food stalls and outdoor dining.
We are proposing to transform Jazz in the Park into a new street festival on Darling Street between Montague and Booth Streets in Balmain. The map below shows the proposed location.
