Project details

Council has received requests from residents to investigate the extension of the Resident Parking Scheme Area M2, due to parking concerns caused by nearby industries and businesses.

Council has recently completed parking surveys in your street and found that parking was highly utilised.

What is being proposed?

Council is proposing a three-month trial of the Area M2 Resident Parking Scheme to improve parking access for households who have limited (1) or no off-street parking spaces.

Following the three-month trial, Council will obtain further feedback from households to determine if the trial has been effective in improving parking conditions to consider permanently retaining the permit parking scheme or make any changes necessary.

In addition, Council is also proposing timed restricted parking on Carrington Road and Richardson Crescent, adjacent to Mackey Park to improve accessibility to the park on evenings and weekends.

What restrictions are being proposed?

It is proposed to expand the Resident Parking Scheme (RPS) Area M2 to the following streets:

  • Northern side of Cary Street between no. 69 and no. 103 Cary Street
  • Southern side of Renwick Street between no. 68 and no. 104 Renwick Street
  • Northern side of Renwick Street between no. 73 and no. 79 Renwick Street
  • Northern side of Warren Road between no. 105 and no. 149 Warren Road
  • Northern side of Ruby Street between no. 5 and no. 17 Ruby Street
  • Southern side of Ruby Street between no. 16 and no. 52 Ruby Street
  • Western side of Junction Street between no. 1 Junction Street and side of no. 9 Ruby Street
