Tell us about your experience of floods in the Dobroyd Canal area
Council is preparing a flood risk management plan for the Dobroyd Canal catchment. This will protect people and property through better planning, emergency management and infrastructure works.
Your knowledge of flooding in the Dobroyd Canal catchment is valuable to the preparation of this plan. Local residents and businesses can help by providing information and images of flooding in the area.
Who can take part?
Residents, land owners and business operators in the Dobroyd Canal catchment. This includes parts or all of Ashbury, Croydon, Croydon Park, Haberfield, and Summer Hill.
How can I get involved?
- Complete the brief survey below
- Tell us where you've experienced flooding through an interactive map
- Share your recent flood experiences, including photos and links to videos, in the story section below.
Feedback closes on Sunday 12 February 2017.
Next steps
WMA Water, the consultants working with Council on the plan, will use the community’s feedback and technical information to develop options for managing flooding. Members of the community will then have an opportunity to comment on the options through community information sessions and online.
This project is supported by the NSW Government’s Floodplain Risk Management Program.
