Resident letter

Getting to the heart of local matters

Inner West Council invites you to join ward Councillors and Council Executive staff at your Local Matters Forum. These forums provide an opportunity for residents to have a constructive conversation with elected representatives and senior staff and to raise ideas for improvements to your area.

Collectively we can continue to improve the way Council delivers for our local communities.

How does the Local Matters Forum work?

Council’s Executive staff (Inner West General Manager and four Directors) will present some of the major local initiatives happening in your ward and answer community questions from the floor. There will also be opportunity for informal discussions with the Executive and your three ward Councillors.

Projects that will be presented on at the forum include:

  • InnerWest@40 – introducing slower speed limits to keep our roads safer
  • Community consultation to make journeys to and from school safer
  • Snap Send Solve – making it easier to report issues to Council
  • Upgrades to Robyn Webster Sports Centre
  • Planning for Tempe Lands, Wicks Park and Jarvie Park
