Inner West Council is resuming work on developing an Economic Development Plan and Action Plan for the Inner West.

A previous version of this draft was put on public exhibition in 2019. Work was then put on hold in order that Council could take into account changes for business following the Covid-19 pandemic. Read more here.

We are now running two Economic Summits to generate discussions on:

  • How the local economy is performing post Covid -19
  • How Council and stakeholders can work better together
  • What opportunities can be identified to improve conditions for business to thrive

Economic Summit - 22 March 2023

The event was a success and featured a keynote speech by Erica Berchtold, CEO of The Iconic, who gave valuable insight into the retail sector and online shopping.
