What is happening?
We’re creating a harmonised approach to the use of public domain across the Inner West with the draft Local Approvals policy (LAP). Once adopted, the LAP will reduce red tape, costs and resources by streamlining and simplifying the application and approval processes for events and activities in the public domain.
Have your say
Tell us what you think of the LAP and help us move towards a cohesive regulatory system for our Local Government Area.
- Online, by completing the Local Approvals policy feedback form.
- By mail, addressed to Inner West Council, PO Box 14, Petersham 2049, attention to Gibran Khouri.
Last day to provide feedback is 21 June 2020
If you need an interpreter you can contact us through the Translating and Interpreting Service on 131 450. You will need to provide our phone number 02 9392 5249.
What happens next?
After the exhibition period closes, the strategic planning team will consider the submissions and make any amendments to the draft policy as required. The elected Council will make a decision to either approve the draft plan as exhibited; approve the plan with changes; or not proceed with the plan. Everyone who provides feedback will be notified when the policy is being considered by Council. Once it comes into effect, the LAP will apply to all activities covered within it.
