Consider representing your Inner West Council community on a special interest working group.

In late 2023 Inner West Council adopted the Leichhardt Oval Masterplan which provides an overarching vision for the Leichhardt Park precinct which included the development of an Inner West Museum of Rugby League.

Council is seeking expressions of interest from community members who would be interested in volunteering on a newly established working group for the museum in 2024.

Council is looking for individuals who have:

  • A vision for the future of the museum
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusivity within the community
  • Previous experience serving on a similar committee (desirable)
  • High levels of personal integrity and ethics
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of and interest in the history of rugby league in the inner west
  • Knowledge of local government
  • Sufficient time available to devote to responsibilities as a working group member
  • Independence and freedom from contractual arrangements with Council.

Join us in creating an Inner West Museum of Rugby League that celebrates the history of rugby league in the inner west.

The community is at the heart of the organisation and Council puts its values of Integrity, Respect, Innovation, Compassion, and Collaboration at the centre of everything we do.

We are here to be of service to the community and make Inner West a great place to be. Working group members are expected to demonstrate a commitment to Council’s values in performing their role.

Community working group membership provides the opportunity for interested community members to contribute their unique perspective and expertise with a view to enhancing Council’s service to the community.
