Council has endorsed the public exhibition of the draft Events in Parks policy.

About the policy

The policy aims to assist community event organisers in the approval process for events that take place in parks within the Inner West Local Government Area. The policy applies to proposed events occuring in parks and sporting grounds either owned by Council or under its control of management. The events that this policy applies to are usually one off events for example:

• Parties
• Celebrations
• Corporate events
• Charity events
• Fun runs
• Community festivals

What happens next?

The feedback received will be incorporated into the final policy which will be considered by Council for adoption at a meeting. All those who provided feedback will be advised when the policy will be considered by Council.
