  • Compost huts are closed until further notice - thanks for your continued patience

The compost hut lids have now been replaced and painted, but we are still waiting for some mechanical parts and small alterations.

We’re working to make the new lids are easy to use, safe, sound and pest proof

We also want to ensure when they reopen, staff are available to maintain and monitor the huts and respond to any issues you have.

This means the compost huts will remain closed through January – we’re really sorry about this.

Your support and enthusiasm for the trial and community composting is helping ensure the trial succeeds despite this lengthy closure.

So in the meantime, please keep your caddy, and and dispose of your fruit and vege scraps in the way you did before the compost hut trial.

We will update you as soon as we know when they can be reopened.
