Camperdown Park has always been a special place for our community – a space where history, culture, and recreation come together. Our vision is to create a park that is inclusive, accessible, and reflective of the community.

We have developed a draft Plan of Management and Master Plan and we want to hear your feedback on how we propose to care and manage this open space for the next 10-years.

  • A Plan of Management (PoM) is a guiding document which directs the future planning, management and use of the park.
  • A Master Plan outlines the vision and actions required for improvement over the next 10 years.

Features of the Master Plan

The proposed features include:

  • Creation of a cultural hub for Aboriginal
    and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Upgrade to the existing playground to an all-exclusive play area for all ages and abilities
  • Relocation the table tennis facilities to a more active area in the park
  • Restoration of the war memorial
  • Upgrade of the bleacher seating and additional shade
  • Investigate options to upgrade the Portuguese Ethnographic Museum in the park to a community facility
  • Improve access to the park from Australia Street
