Background
Our suburbs are home to people from across the world and we can proudly celebrate the success of our diverse, inclusive and harmonious community.
Between 20 November 2023 and 31 March 2024, we asked you to join us in shaping a more inclusive Inner West by sharing your experiences of racism.
Your lived experience has informed the foundation of Council's draft Anti-Racism Strategy.

At its meeting on Tuesday 21 May 2024, Council resolved to place the draft Anti-Racism Strategy on public exhibition for community comment.

What is this strategy about?
The Anti-Racism Strategy will:
- Raise awareness of racism.
- Identify, support, and foster programs that reduce racism and promote inclusion.
- Further empower our community to confront and eliminate racism.
