At its meeting on 25 August 2026 Council received and adopted the Local Traffic Forum recommendations on this project with the following changes:

Item 13 – Alberto Street, Lilyfield - Proposed Resident Parking Scheme - the decision to read:

1. Note that Council acknowledge the concerns of the Alberto Street residents in regard to the impact of long term parking in the street and the availability of parking for local residents.

2. Note that local residents in the surrounding streets - including Maida and Victoria Street have raised concerns at the July LTF meeting in addition to representations to local Councillors, and in their view the implementation of the restricted parking scheme in Alberto St will only serve to move the problem into surrounding streets.

3. Note that, to date, 20 households within the local community in Maida Street and Victoria Street have strongly opposed the implementation of the proposed parking restrictions in neighbouring Alberto Street as demonstrated by a petition in the absence of a more holistic neighbourhood approach.

4. That a parking study and community consultation be conducted in the surrounding streets (including Maida Street & Victoria Street) and tabled at the October 2026 LTF meeting.

5. That the recommendation to approve the restricted parking in Alberto Street be paused , until broader review and community consultation is conducted in relation to parking in the surrounding areas (including Maida Street & Victoria Street).

That '2P 8:30am-6pm Mon-Fri, Permit Holders Excepted, Area M4' be installed on the southern side of Samuel Street between Unwins Bridge Road and Henry Street, Tempe.

A minimum of 50% support from properties in the subject section are required for consideration to implement RPS. Each property will be entitled to a single preference only -please note that multiple submissions will be counted as one.

Eligibility for resident parking permit is as follows:

• Your car is registered to your home address, which directly fronts the street or has a side boundary to the proposed resident parking zone.
• One visitor parking permit will be offered per eligible property.
• Dual occupancies, multi dwelling housing and residential flat buildings, subdivisions into two or more lots and strata subdivision of residential flat buildings approved after January 2001 are not allowed to participate in a RPS as off-street parking should be provided in accordance with Council’s parking development control plan DCP.
• Parking permits are not available for boats on trailers, box trailers, caravans, buses and trucks (i.e., vehicles greater than 3 tonnes GVM).
