In honour of the Chinese community’s long history in Ashfield, Council is considering co-naming Hercules Street as Quong Tart Plaza.

Quong Tart was a philanthropist, merchant, and Chinese-Australian community leader who lived in Ashfield in the 1800s.

We also want to hear your ideas for how Council can recognise and celebrate Chinese culture in Ashfield, including through buildings and places.
