Project updates

At its meeting on Monday 20 October the Local Transport Forum (formerly Local Traffic Committee) will consider a report including consultation outcomes and make the following recommendations to Council:

  • ..... revised parking proposal in lieu of the concerns raised by nearby residents regarding the transfer of parking to their street, and impacts to residents who use these spaces for long-term parking. Accordingly, the 11 timed parking spaces proposed on Victoria Road has been reduced to three (3) spaces, and the 18 spaces originally proposed on Llewellyn Street has been reduced to three (3) spaces as shown in Figure 7 (and Attachment 3) below. This seeks to minimise the parking impacts to surrounding residential streets, whilst providing some additional timed parking for the aquatic centre, park users and nearby businesses.

Project details

We are planning to make some changes to parking near the Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre and Enmore Park. These changes are designed to give more people a chance to find parking close to the centre.

We want to change some of the unrestricted parking on Victoria Road and Llewellyn Street to timed parking.

What are the changes?

We are proposing these new timed parking rules:
2P 9am–5pm Monday to Friday
2P 9am–12pm Saturday and Sunday

These changes would apply to:

  • The north side of Victoria Road, between Leicester Street and Black Street (approximately 11 spaces)
  • The south side of Llewellyn Street, west of Black Street, Marrickville (approximately 18 spaces)
