Project details

The draft Innovate RAP is Council’s guiding policy document towards reconciliation, which has been developed in consultation with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community of the Inner West.

The plan is on public exhibition for community comment until 22 June 2022, during which time Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May - 3 June, National Sorry Day is held on 26 May, and the anniversaries of the 1967 referendum (on 27 May) and Mabo decision (on 3 June) are remembered.

Overview

The RAP has 20 actions themes of relationships, respect, and opportunities. The implementation of the 80+ deliverables will support the Inner West down the path of reconciliation and provide the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with support, assistance, and opportunities in meeting challenges into the future.

Council looks forward to working with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to advance reconciliation across the Inner West.
