Proposed naming of a new lane in St Peters

Council is inviting the community to provide feedback on a name for a new unnamed lane in St Peters. The lane is in between May and Hutchinson Streets and has been created through the subdivision and development at 44-56 May Street and 19 Hutchinson Street.

Council is considering a proposal for this lane to be called Daburi Lane to recognise the Aboriginal custodians and their contribution to the Marrickville area.

Daburi - meaning to paint - also reflects the contribution of the creative industries in this area.
