Who has made a difference to the Inner West LGBTIQ community?

You are invited to nominate a local person, group or organisation that has advanced LGBTIQ human rights, equity and inclusion in the Inner West.

The Inner West Council accepted a donation of 5 Pride Seats from Street Furniture Australia in recognition of its strong support for the LGBTIQ community and the recent marriage equality campaign.

The seats will be installed in 5 high profile locations across the local government area. Possible locations include: Darling Street, Rozelle; Norton Street, Leichhardt; King Street, Newtown; Lackey Street Piazza, Summer Hill and Marrickville Road, Marrickville.

The LGBTIQ selection panel will select 5 nominees, each selected nominee will have a Pride Seat bearing a plaque dedicated in their name.

What happens next?

All nominations will be reviewed and assessed by the LGBTIQ selection panel in accordance with the eligibility and selection criteria.

The nominees and nominators will be invited to attend the official unveiling by Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne.
