Park Lane, Sydenham - improving residents' access


Council is proposing to introduce a section of ‘No Parking’ restrictions in Park Lane, Sydenham to improve residents’ access to off-street parking. The proposal addresses concerns about parked vehicles blocking access to residential garages.

The proposal involves installing ‘No Parking’ restrictions on the east side of Park Lane, Sydenham between Henry Street and Rowe Lane - see map. ‘No Parking’ restrictions prohibit motorists from parking within the specified zone; however they can legally stop to unload or load passengers and/or goods.

What happens next?

The proposal will be considered at a meeting of the Council’s Pedestrian, Cyclist and Traffic Calming Advisory Committee on 10 September 2015. The recommendations from this Committee meeting will be referred to Council’s Infrastructure, Planning and Environmental Services Committee at its meeting on 6 October 2015 for consideration.

    Residents in surrounding properties will be informed of the approval by Council to install the No Parking restrictions in Park Lane. The signage will be installed soon after. Completion of this project is expected within the 2016/2017 financial year.
