New Inner West Council website

Council is building a new website with a strong focus on EBusiness as part of the creation of the new Inner West Council. That means that you should be able to do most of your Council business online if you prefer.

We also want to make sure that it is easy to navigate, and information is easy to find. This is a tool for the community to use, so we want your input so that we can make sure it’s delivering what you want.

Have Your Say

There are three ways to help us out with the development of the new site.

What happens next?

We’ll take your feedback and start developing the new site, launching new sections and features as soon as they’re available.

You’ll be able to give us your ideas and thoughts all the way through the development, so that we can keep refining the site until it gives you the information you want and lets you do the things you want.

Council used the community’s feedback to develop a plan for building a new website. The plan includes incorporating the following features:

    • User-driven layout and navigation with minimal clicks to find information
    • An advanced search option
    • Interactive mapping
    • Online forms, services and bookings
    • Customer Portal
    • Events Calendar with community access
    • Live chat

    Next steps

Council has completed a tender process to select company to build the new website and work will commence soon. Residents who indicated that they would like to be further involved in the project will shortly be invited to participate in a user workshop. This will help Council refine the new site’s navigation.

The new website is expected to be launched by the end of 2017.
