Marrickville Road, Marrickville - improving pedestrian safety


Council is proposing to improve pedestrian safety in Marrickville Road near Despointes Street by creating a new pedestrian crossing. The work will include

  • Installing pedestrian linemarking in Marrickville Road;
  • Installing associated pedestrian crossing signage; and
  • Upgrading existing streetlighting to meet required standards.
This proposal will not result in the loss of any on-street parking spaces in Marrickville Road.

The works are planned for this financial year, depending on the outcome of the engagement process, final approvals and funding allocations. Residents will be notified of a commencement date for any proposed works.
