What is a Plan of Management?

    A Plan of Management (PoM) is a strategic document providing a planning and management framework for the future use, development and maintenance. While PoM is a requirement for all community land owned by Council, it also presents an opportunity to engage with the community and create a vision and values that are consistent with the needs of the current population and establishes how the park can be used in the future.

    What is a pocket park?

    A pocket park is a small park usually created on a single vacant building lot or on a small irregular piece of land. Pocket parks provide socialising spaces in a high density residential areas.

    What is a neighbourhood park?

    A neighbourhood park is a medium size park used for informal recreation and socialising. Neighbourhood parks provide spaces for playing informal games, relaxing and picnicking.
