Improving safety for pedestrians and traffic at the intersection of Goodsell St and May Lane, St Peters.

Thank you for your submission, this engagement has now closed.

Council is proposing to construct a refuge island and a landscaped kerb blister at the intersection of Goodsell St and May Lane.

As part of the works it is also proposed to extend a section of footpath on southern side of Goodsell St to assist enforcing the ‘No Right Turn’ sign from May Lane into Goodsell St.

It should be noted that these works will be integrated with the proposed ‘Shared Zone’ works in May Lane which have already been approved to be built by Council.

As part of this proposal, some on-street parking will be replaced by new no stopping zones. These zones are required to improve safety for pedestrians, provide a clearer view of the traffic conditions for all users and improve flow.

You can view the plans online here.

Council is asking surrounding residents to have their say about the improvements and will consider all comments received before making a final decision.
