Improving safety at the intersection of Riverside Crescent and Chadwick Avenue, Marrickville

Council is proposing to reconstruct a refuge island and construct landscaped kerb blisters at the intersection of Riverside Crescent and Chadwick Avenue to improve safety for pedestrians and motorists.

As part of the works it is also proposed to upgrade a section of existing stormwater system to improve drainage.

Some on-street parking will be replaced by new no stopping zones which will provide a clearer view of the traffic conditions for all users and improve flow.

    Council has not yet made a final commitment to change the existing parking and traffic arrangements.  All submissions will be included in a report to the Pedestrian, Cyclist and Traffic Calming Advisory Committee and the recommendations from this Committee meeting will then be referred to Council’s Infrastructure, Planning and Environmental Services Committee for consideration.
