Thank you for your submission -  this engagement is now finished.

Public Exhibition of Draft Marrickville Local Environmental Plan 2011 (MLEP) Amendment No.2 and Draft Marrickville Development Control Plan 2011 (MDCP) Amendment No.2.

******************************************UPDATE ON 2/9/14*****************************************
Council is currently reviewing all properties that have been identified as flood prone as part of the draft LEP/DCP amendment 2 on exhibition period.

This means that all properties will be reviewed and where appropriate a site inspection will made to prove over land flow paths.

All properties will be notified further to any changes to the map during this engagement period. All
submissions will be considered and if further information is required council consultants WMA water will contact you individually.

******************************************** UPDATE on 27/8/14 ************************************

Due to the high level of interest in the updated flood maps, Council is now extending the exhibition period by five weeks.  The exhibition will now close on Monday 6 October 2014.

If you have contacted (or plan to contact) Council to register to attend flood mapping information session, you should be aware that the session on Thursday 28 August is now full.  Anyone who has missed out on that session and would like to make an appointment to meeting with Council’s flood mapping consultant, please contact Andrew Newman on andrew.newman@marrickville.nsw.gov.au or 9392 5370.

If you have made a submission, it has been registered and will be assessed in a post public exhibition report to Council.  Everyone who has made a submission and/or has registered to attend a community information session will be notified of when this report will be considered by Council.  The report will be available here on Your Say Marrickville before the meeting and anyone can apply to address Council at the meeting (click here to find out how).

The MLEP and the MDCP are Council’s key planning instruments and apply to development within the Marrickville local government area. The aim of the amendments is to increase the useability of the plans by addressing anomalies and errors, and to introduce new development controls to improve planning.

If you received a letter recently from Council letting you know that the draft Amendments to the MLEP and MDCP show the property at your address as 'flood prone'  - click here for information about what this means.
