What's happening with the Bowling Club?

There is no current operator of the Bowling Club. Council has called for tenders for a new operator. Tenders closed on 10 November 2013. Once applications have been assessed, Council will advise if there is a new operator. The Bowling Club site is therefore not included in the survey however more consultation may follow depending on the outcome of the tender. We will post information on this site as soon as it is available.

What work is scheduled in the short-term for Camperdown Park and Oval?

Next year Council will replace the turf on the oval and upgrade drainage and sports lighting to meet the Australian Standard. The oval will be closed for a period while the works take place and the clubs that use the ground will temporarily move to an alternative site.

What happens next?

This consultation is open until 29 November 2013. After it closes we will analyse all the feedback and post a summary report on this site. Council staff will draft the plan for the park, and it will be posted on this site in the first half of 2014 for further community comment.
