What is a Plan of Management?
Plans of Management are legal documents that councils are required to develop and maintain for community land including Crown reserves. The plans guide how our local parks will be sustainably managed. Plans of Management contain information about the natural environment and buildings, Aboriginal heritage, history and recreational opportunities in a park.
What is a master plan
A Master Plan outlines the vision and actions required for improvement over the next 10 years. It is based on community and stakeholder feedback and the outcomes of Plan of Management for the park.
Why do we plan for our parks?
A Plan of management is a useful tool to provide strategic planning and governance for the management and use of land. The plans set out objectives and performance targets for community land and promote active land management.
